Nigeria’s Prettyboy, D-O ,is an AfroUrban songwriter and recording artist with a unique worldwide sound .
Hailing from Rivers state, Southern Nigeria , Donald Ofik ( aka D-O) spent most of his early life in Lagos state , Western Nigeria. Due to his education; D-O lived in various places throughout his adolescent years . He went to high school in Abuja, Nigeria . He lived in Malabo (Equitareal and Guinea) for 3 years while in High School and
finally went to university in New York,U.S.A.
D-O fell in love with music at an early age . He started writing songs when he first got into Secondary school .His PrettyBoy sound is a fusion of R&B andRap, laced with dancehall and African melodies thanks to his African upbringing. He released his first track while he was still in University. D-O sacrificed a lot of time working on his sound and delivery to ensure he could have a standout career. He used to sleep through classes while in University due to late night writing and recording songs. In 2014 while still in University , Bance ( a collaboration with Dj Olu) was released and thiscreated a local buzz for D-O.
After graduating and returning to his homeland in 2015, D-O started doing music professionally. He released his first breakout track that same year ,’Tinkoko ‘ produced by Dtunes. In 2016, D-O signed with Plugg records and released ‘Your Level’ featuring Ycee. The single caught on and gained D-O a cult following. In 2017, D-O released Peter Piper . The single caught on and gained D-O an even wider following.
